Meal tickets: Smartcards can be useful to manage meal tickets. The provider of the catering service (bar, restaurant, canteen, delicatessen shop...) collects the tickets from his customers, at the beginning of the month, and cashes them all ,then He loads the exchange value into the customer's Smartcard and and subtracts  - each time -  the actual value of the meal. Of course new amounts of tickets can be loaded up into the Smartcard . Every provider will be supplied with different-coded cards, to avoid that the same card can be used for other services. The smartcards can be personalized with the logo and data of the provider. The system we offer includes MP42, Smartacards Loyalty terminal and the  Loyalty Pro software.

Transport: contactless Smartcards can be used  to manage private and public transport; with  ASE ES it easy to do.

Automated machines: meals, drinks, snacks, videotapes, CD, cigarettes, tickets, petrol, etc.. ASEDrive or ASE ES could be easily integrated into these machines assuring great advantages: no more coins, cash; no more burglaries (there is no money into the machine), and the same card can be utilized for different services.

Car parks: the smartcard, especially the contactless one, is the ideal mean for the automated management of car parks: the drive situated at the entrance (and exit) detects the vehicle, opens the bar and charges the card with the entrance fee. ASE ES is the drive to use.

Photocopiers: the control of photocopiers (or similar machines) through a smartcard reader allows to manage it in a safe way; the number of photocopies is loaded into the smartcard and when they are exhausted it will be impossible to make other copies, without a new reload. Of course with the same card, is possible to obtain other services if they are previously  provided. . This card is suitable for schools, libraries, public offices, etc..

Control of production machines:  smartcards are suitable for a wide range of uses in the field of the industrial production:

to restrict the access to the machines only to authorized workers;

to save  a sequence of commands -to be given to the machines-into the card memory.

to enclose to a product lot and record its transits through every machine of the production line and attest its quality.

Internet Cafè: the management of an Internet Cafè is particularly easy thanks to the Chard Cafè Lite, software tha must be used together with the smartcard drives ASEDrive and MP42 Smartcards. Not only you will be able to offer automatically charged and controlled internet services, but the same card can also be used as electronic purse for others automated (see Automated machines) and  non-automated (see Meal tickets) services. This software can also be used to restrict the use of a computer and its software, and the access to the  Internet  (schools, libraries, public offices, etc..).

  Finger prints: the possibility to provide remote services, through the Internet (for instance), requires to check the user's identity:  biometric verification is in this case essential; we offer the Precise 100, system, fingerprint  detectors  of the late generation, integrated or non-integrated  into the smartcard drive; it's also available the programming-kit to integrate fingerprint detectors into your software .

Files and messages ciphering: Privasuite allows to cipher and sign  messages, documents or part of them, and entire files; a smartcard or an eToken can hold your symmetric or asymmetric keys  (Des, triple Des and RSA are supported). Privawall is particularly useful for firms; it  automatically  ciphers/deciphers, according to the previously determined company policy , any  email and related attachment which enters/exits of the company mail server.

  SecureSentry Pro is very easy to be used.  It controls the access to a PC and  permits to cipher /decipher (at once), all files dragged/saved  to  a particular directory.

Digital signature: Italy   passed  (in February  1999) a law that makes the digital signature  valid and fixes its characteristics. The first product that fits this law is DigitalSign.  

e.Commerce: the biggest obstacle to a rapid spreading of the e-commerce is  security; it's important to identify each other and prevent fraudulent or simply "curious" intrusions. Digital signature, Data ciphering, Smartcard, eToken are indispensable products.

Protected Internet services: e-business requires certified access to certain services, that the provider is sure of the consumer's identity ;the  verification function is carried out by  a relevant  server that verifies the applicant's certificate (resident on smartcard or eToken), its validity and that it's not present in the revocation list; after this,  the applicant gains access to  the server which will provide the service required. If you need  greater security  biometric verification is advisable.

VPN (Virtual Private Network): are protected networks and the access to them is permitted only to authorized users; see  Protected Internet services

Schools: the spreading of the use of computers in schools make necessary that schools provide themselves with instruments suited to control the use of PCs. Through the smartcards the school is able to permit the access to PCs only to authorized users l, can limit the time of use   (for PCs connected to Internet); the server can record any connection/disconnection: LYPC is the ideal software do do that. The same smartcard can allow the user to use  photocopiers; automatic distributor etc...

Electronic purse:  smartcards, and eToken, can be used as electronic purse (for instance see Meal tickets). Secure use  - according to the  the Italian banking system standards  (Minipay) - can be made with ASEDrive.

e-shop: smartcards and eToken can be used as electronic purse also for on-line shopping: smart.Store is the software suite that is exactly what you need : it not only organizes your virtual shop ,but it also permits you to immediately charge the amount of goods sold to the customer's smartcard. The card can be previously recharged  through Internet .

Gyms: to manage the access to a gym ,the  users can be provided with smatcards in which  the  enrolment  limits are stored (date of expiry; days and time of the access; number of allowed accesses...). Through a smartcard drive  (located at the entrance), after checking the limits, the user will be able to enter the gym. ASE ES, and Loyalty are the terminal that carry out this duty; also contactless  smartcards can carry out this duty.

The same smartcard can be used as  electronic purse for purchases at the  bar/restaurant/shops or  charge the user for other services as massages, solariums, etc...

Hotels and holiday villages: the use is similar to that of  gyms, but in this case the smartcard can be the key of access to a larger amount of services; for instance the opening of the room door, the access to the car park and the payment of the  fee. Proximity or hybrid (contact and contactless) smartcards can be in this case advantageous.

Amusement parks: with the same smartcard is possible to access to every game and services offered to the visitors, such as  bar, automated machines (of drinks/food), car parks, videogames, etc...

Particularly suitable is the use of  proximity smartcards: it's not necessary that the visitor take the card out of his pocket to enter the park.

Discos: providing a quick service (drinks, cloakroom, access to reserved areas) but also

controlling the customer's quality;

selecting the customers according to their commercial importance (VIP, Member..) to offer them personalized services;

having an automated and updated customer's data bank.

These are the main needs in a disco. Contact and contactless  smartcard is the instrument that best fit discos needs, together with  Loyalty.

Videogames: the ASEDrive ES terminal can be easily integrated  into a videogame;  the spent money can be automatically deducted by the smartcard and the won money credited to it; in this case the use of a proximity smartcard is advisable: the user will not have to take the card out of his pocket to use the videogame.

Access control: any kind of access can be controlled by a contact or contactless smartcard: skiing facilities, stadiums, garages, doors and gates; see car parks, transport, gyms, amusement parks.

Attendance detection: through the personal badge it's possible to record the access to the firm both for administrative and security reasons  the smartcard is the ideal instrument to carry these duties out., it ensures  security, makes the recorded data unalterable, makes the fraudulent  duplicating of the card impossible, and the same badge can be used for accessing various services, such as canteen, automated machines, access to reserved areas, access to a PC. Also in this application the digital fingerprint can be the winning soluction!
