"We are sotisfied of this confirm of our decision to choose  NetHASP to protect the last version of QuarkXPress," say Michael Johnson, program manager of QuarkXPress. "It serves to emphasize our confidence in Aladdin and in its prodoucts, market leader." In the December 1998, Quark has chosen NetHASP to protect its version for the net of QuarkXPress Passport 4.04 and QuarkXPress 4.04.

Yanki Margalit, President of Aladdin: "The study of NSTL confirm again the leadership position of HASP in the industry of the protection of software. The big investments to envelope our prodoucts are repayed by this report, and our engagment in the research remain the same. We want that HASP remain in the maximal levels, as most sure system of protection, because this is what our clients asks and want."

Some meaningful point of the report:

Security: "Also the function of security Shell of Sentinel catches up points only for 59% of the similar function of HASP. [Test score: HASP 8.0: Sentinel 4.7] because the prodouct of Rainbow haven't any automatic utility for security (Shell/Envelope) for the key of access; otherwise there is the absence of antidebuggins technics; the absence of block of the interrupt DOS 01 and 03; and at last the absence of "armors" with more strates for a better security function." The report also show that "the realization of the security by API [of Sentinel] is weak." [Test score: HASP 9.0: Sentinel0.2]

Usefulness: "Thanks to the option Envelope, highly flexible and rich of function, HASP exceeds its adversary almost 3 times in the subcategory Usefulness of Envelope/Shell ."

Compatibily: "The documentation of Rainbow and the frequently question an answer on their WEB site, report limitation in the use of keys collected in pile in series, and also incopatibility for the different hardware versions of the  different key versions. That bring the score of the Kit of envelope of Sentinel  more under the score obtained by HASP." Functions in the key for Net: "The prodoucts HASP again obtain an optimal valutation of the functions of the key for the net, obtaining the double of the complexive votes in this subcategory. Thanks to the security function of NetHASP and to the function of license management pf the program LM [License Manager]."

Versatility: "The superior score of HASP in Versatility derives from the superiority in almost the nine  subcategory and also in the superiority, with hi margin, in the subcategory more important, as the Envelope and the API functions."
