What do I need to store a signature-certificate up in my  eToken?

You only have to install the eToken drivers; the both MS Explorer and Netscape Navigator automatically detect the  eToken and at the moment of the registering of the certificate it is asked if storing it to the eToken or the disk. You can also use a  tool (EtCerConv) that permits to transfer a certificate from disk to eToken and vice versa.

What certificates , of what certifier, can I store up in my  eToken?

Any C.A., the important thing is that certificates are are corresponding to the standards: MS, GlobalSign, VeriSign, Thawte, Baltimore, DST, RSA,etc..

What do I need to sign/cipher email with the certificate  stored up in the  eToken?

Nothing else but the eToken and the  email software you normally use : Outlook/Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger, Baltimore MailSecure  

Is eToken corresponding to the European law on digital signature?

 Yes, the model PRO is supplied with a Siemens SLE66cx chip and S.O. CardOS4, both certified ITSEC E4

Can I control the access to the PC through eToken?

Of course, it's easy in Win 2000, by using its security functions (Smartcard Logon); or using software such as SecureSentry or the GINA Replecement sw by Aladdin

Can I cipher  file folders/files through eToken?

There are software that make these functions available, such as SecureSentry Pro and Secret Disk .

Can I cipher entire disks ?

With Secret Disk you can create virtual disks big as much as the real disk .

What are eToken  advantages compared with  smartcard?

The  eToken is  a smartcard and a  PC/SC. reader at the same time. You can do with eToken what you can do with a smartcard with same performances but you don't need a driver; so you can save money , installation and encumbrance.

The eToken is more secure because his chip is protected in his device; and it suffers less abrasion because does not touch the reader.
